Leicester College has been recognised for its achievements within hair and beauty by a leading health retreat Ragdale Hall.

The College was announced as the ‘Ragdale Hall College of Excellence’, Ragdale has based its decision to present its award on LeicesterCollege’s exceptional teaching standards and Ofsted reports.

Lisa Jacobs, Curriculum Area Manager for Hair, Beauty and Make-up said:

“We are extremely pleased to have been granted the prestigious ‘College of Excellence’ status by Ragdale Hall and this means that we can continue to work in collaboration with them which includes industry work experience that is of great benefit to our learners.”

Gemma Jackson (Recruitment Supervisor) at Ragdale Hall said;

“We have worked with Leicester College Beauty Department for many years, and have a great working relationship. Many of their students come to work with us during and after they have qualified as Beauty Therapists.”

“Each year we visit the students to carry out a career presentation and trade testing for those who would like to come on a weeks work placement. The trade test would involve them showing us their skills in nail painting and facials.”

“This week Faz Rajput (college presenter) had a warm welcome from the Beauty Tutors and students to carry out our annual visit but to also award them with The ‘Ragdale Hall College of Excellence’.”

“Ragdale Hall works with many colleges over the UK and have set up the ‘College of Excellence’ to reward those colleges who work with us best and provide us potential employees. The criteria is reviewed each year to ensure Colleges maintain their status.”

Faz Rajput said: “I attended Leicester College many years ago as a student myself and it is fantastic to come back and advise new up and coming talent about the career prospects available at Ragdale Hall. It has been a pleasure to present Leicester College with the award.”
