Business Management & Administration

Business Management and Administration

Our broad range of courses in business and management allow our learners to undertake courses for beginners through to professional training. Our courses are delivered by experienced business professionals who adapt the training to meet the dynamic needs of a business environment.

Who are Leicester College’s business courses for?

The level you study will depend on your previous experience and qualifications. If you are aged 16 to 19 and don’t yet have your English and maths at grade 4 (C) or above, these subjects will be an essential part of your study programme. All courses are designed to give you the skills and knowledge needed to work in the business industry.

Some of the modules you may study with us include: business administration, business environment, finance, marketing, communications, career development, and retail. Higher-level courses go into more depth on these modules and bring together the practical and theoretical elements of management.

Peter Jones Enterprise Academy

The Peter Jones Enterprise Academy was set up by Peter Jones CBE – entrepreneur and star of the BBC Dragon’s Den programme. We have two level 3 courses on offer at the Peter Jones Enterprise Academy. The qualifications on offer focus entirely on furthering the aspirations of young entrepreneurs aged 16 and over, who have the determination to turn their ideas into reality and start their own businesses. You will be taught by tutors with rich business experience, and have the opportunity to work on real life business challenges. You will undertake a four-week work placement specific to your business and career aspirations. You will also have the opportunity to pitch your business idea to a panel of investors.

Further Information

We work closely with local and regional businesses to arrange master classes and work experience opportunities for our learners. This really helps you to know what the industry is actually like.
