From part-time entry-level courses in basic motor vehicle maintenance to full-time courses at levels 1, 2, and 3, Leicester College’s recently upgraded motor vehicle facilities are the perfect place to hone your mechanical skills. Apprenticeships are also available, giving you the chance to work for an employer and earn a wage while completing a respected professional qualification with us. Courses typically involve a mixture of theory and practical elements, while assessment is both continuous and exam-based. Some courses require you to pass online tests.

Our part-time motor vehicle maintenance and repair courses are ideal for career changers as they can fit around your existing work schedule. The full time courses in motor sport, vehicle fitting, motorcycle maintenance and vehicle maintenance are also suitable for both adults and school leavers. When you apply for a motor vehicle course with us, we can help you find the level and type of course that’s right for you, based on your previous qualifications and experience. Learners aged 16-19 will follow a study programme which will include work experience as well as GCSE or functional skills English and maths if you don’t already have your grade C/4.
