Occupational English Test
OET is the Occupational English Test and is a well-respected international English language test for the healthcare sector. OET tests a candidate’s ability to communicate effectively in a demanding healthcare environment across the 4 main language areas of Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking.
OET reflects workplace tasks for 12 healthcare professions, listed below:

OET is owned by Cambridge Boxhill Language Assessment, a venture between Cambridge Assessment English and Box Hill Institute.

Taking your OET test at Leicester College
We are the only OET Centre in the city of Leicester.
Our tests take place at the Abbey Park Campus on Saturday each month.
We offer free test day car parking for our candidates. The car park is accessible at the front of the building via Memory Lane.

OET is widely accepted as proof of English proficiency for visas, study, professional registration and employment. It is recognised and trusted by healthcare boards and councils across the UK, including:

How do I apply?
The OET test is $587 AUD, including a booking fee. This equates to approximately £329 GBP. An online preparation package, practice tests, masterclasses and daily language tips are also included in the price.

OET Test Results
Your Statement of Results will be available via your online myOET portal approximately 16 business days after your test date.
You will receive a score of 500-0 for each section of the test. This scale is in ten-point increments and mapped against a separate letter grade of A-E for each sub-test. There is no overall grade for OET.
