Students with special educational needs and disabilities

Additional Support

We are committed to providing the highest standards of support to all students.

Our Additional Support team is approachable and friendly, with specialist staff who can offer advice and guidance for both current and prospective students. We provide a person-centred approach which means that we can tailor support to suit your individual needs. Support on offer is available from a range of people in the College including inclusion workers; learning coaches; tutors; and student services. Support is also available outside of the College. Our fact sheet: Supporting students with additional needs – what help is available? explains in more detail what is offered.

We work in partnership with teaching staff, other internal services and external organisations to help you to access all available opportunities. Our aim is to ensure that all of our students have a positive learning experience whilst studying at Leicester College. The support we offer is regularly reviewed and our aim, where possible is to guide you towards independence in learning.

If you would like to be assessed for extra support or have had exam arrangements in the past, or feel you need equipment/resources to help you with your learning journey at college, please contact us on the details below.

If you are a student and thinking about doing some paid work you might find it useful to read out fact sheet: Benefits and working for students with additional needs.
