Who are Leicester College's computing and digital courses for?

We offer courses for complete beginners to those with more experience with courses starting at entry level right through to a level 5 qualification. If you are aged 16 to 19 and don’t yet have your English and maths at grade 4 (C) or above, these subjects will be an essential part of your study programme. All courses are designed to give you the skills and knowledge needed to work in the computing industry.

At entry level you will be introduced to essential IT skills including word processing, spreadsheets, graphics software and how to get the best out of the internet. There is also a large element of essential English and maths skills. We offer a range of level 3 courses from games development, networking, a general diploma and even an Access course for adult learners who want to go to university. The highest qualification we offer is our level 5 Computing Higher National Diploma. This course covers a range of skills around current IT technologies related to wed and multimedia, as well as an overview of computer architecture, systems development, programming and databases.
