Business Admin Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship.

At ClearGlaze Windows and Doors Ltd, your responsibilities will be to ensure that all business administrative tasks are completed in a timely manner. This will include administration paperwork for quotations and procurements, also liaising with third party organisations.

ClearGlaze is a manufacturer of UPVC windows and Doors selling to Trade, Developers and End-User customers. From Supply to Design and Installation, ClearGlaze is geared up to becoming one of the largest UPVC manufacturers in Leicestershire.

What will the apprentice be doing?

There are two Business Admin apprenticeship positions available.

One post will be working in the pre-sales role and the second position will be working in a post-sales role.

• Quotations – Using a bespoke program tailored to the industry, you are to manage and create quotations, sending them out to the customer in a timely manner. This will include understanding and deciphering drawings and dimensions, inputting the detailed requirements into the system and generating a quotation
• Procurement – Reducing costs through stringent procurement processes to add value and save money, passing on those cost savings to our clients whether that be trade, end-users, or developers
• Project Management – Click-Up is the project management tool used at ClearGlaze. Full training will be provided and ongoing support from your colleagues to guild you through each phase of the project. You will use this program to help you manage the quote bank and follow-up accordingly. You will eventually lead the end-to-end process of managing a project from £2000 to over £100,000
• New and Existing Customers – Making telephone calls to connect with several trade customers who had previously purchased from the business to update them on the latest trends and products we can offer
• New Business Development – Responsible for finding leads and establishing contact with new clients to grow the business.
• Using social media platforms – to source and make contact with interested parties

Fortnightly day release college attendance required throughout the course of this apprenticeship.

There is potential for continued full-time employment with the company after successful completion of the apprenticeship.

Dental Nursing Apprenticeship Standard – A fantastic opportunity is available to work and train towards becoming a fully qualified Dental Nurse at The Avenue Dental Practice in Enderby, Leicestershire.

A fantastic opportunity is available at Lockwood Publishing in Nottingham, this position is primarily remote with two days in the Nottingham office, which is situated directly opposite the train station.

The role is to support HR with administration tasks. This would be a great role for someone seeking experience in working within an office environment and being able to be confident in working with people from all departments and at all levels. Duties will include raising PO’s via Approvemax, sending out merchandise to new starters etc.

What will the apprentice be doing?

• Support HR team in administration of our HR System People First
• Prepare all documentation
• Send documentation for signature via Adobe sign
• Raise PO’s via Approvemax
• Send out merchandise to new starters
• Support People Partner department with onboarding and exiting employees
• Support Talent Acquisition department with administrative duties
• Take minutes of meetings
• Assist with updating HR policies and procedures
• Liaise with building concierge on any visitors, deliveries, and suppliers in our Nottingham office
• Arrange meetings/lunches/off site for Directors and staff across the business
• Order supplies for the Nottingham office as and when required
• Prepare daily absence report & email to Leadership Team and Leads
• Prepare weekly headcount report & email to HR Director

Will be tasked with a project to work on during the duration of the apprenticeship.

Training and Qualification

Business Administration Level 3 Standard.

Fortnightly day release attendance required at Freemans Park Campus or City Skills Centre throughout the course of the program.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to work within the legal industry. Josiah Hincks solicitors provide legal advice on property & conveyancing, employment and family law. The successful candidate will be supporting marketing activities, letter writing, managing the switchboard and providing professional and accurate legal assistance.

What will the apprentice be doing?

• Provide professional and accurate legal assistance to fee earners through the typing of dictations and file management.
• Operate switchboard politely and confidently with the ability to ascertain key information necessary for fee-earners including taking notes and/or messages and assist independently, where possible.
• Greet people to the office and provide refreshments or assistance.
• Manage general office/reception administration inclusive of storing and archiving of documents and updating/data entry into our storage computer system.
• Keep reception and client facing areas (meeting rooms etc.) clean, tidy, and presentable.
• Oversee management of fee earner diary management and organising of meetings providing details of initial client requirements i.e., what to bring/information to have at an initial meeting.
• Carry out any other administrative and clerical duties as/when required inclusive of document creation.
• Writing letters to clients and dealing with other correspondence as required.
• Preparing and delivering documents across courtrooms and offices.
• Photocopying/scanning and postal duties.
• Inputting file information on new online case management system.
• This role will also include some marketing tasks listed below.
• Social media posts & interaction.
• Graphic creation.
• Review collection & responses
• Internal communications.
• Event planning.
• Seasonal marketing activities (e.g. Christmas).

Business administrators have a highly transferable set of knowledge, skills and behaviours that can be applied in all sectors. This includes small and large businesses alike, from the public sector, private sector, and charitable sector. The role may involve working independently or as part of a team and will involve developing, implementing, maintaining, and improving administrative services. Business administrators develop key skills and behaviours to support their own progression towards management responsibilities.

The responsibilities of the role are to support and engage with different parts of the organisation and interact with internal or external customers. With a focus on adding value, the role of business administrator contributes to the efficiency of an organisation, through support of functional areas, working across teams and resolving issues as requested. The flexibility and responsiveness required allows the apprentice to develop a wide range of skills.

Opportunity for employment as a Legal Secretary for the right candidate on successful completion of apprenticeship.

We are looking to train an individual to become a skilled Mechanical Precision Engineer within the business of broach tooling. Operating specific machinery and machine tools.

What will the apprentice be doing?
You will be working in a Precision Engineering Environment with the core business being the design and Manufacture of special purpose cutting tools
To operate and set conventional Grinding machines, performing Cylindrical, Surface and Form grinding operation
CNC Operator and Setter of special purpose machine tools

Level 2 Diploma in Machining (Foundation Knowledge)

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
The apprentice may progress into roles such as a Machinist – Advanced Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics Maintenance Technician, Product Design & Development Technician.

A full-time permanent position may be offered to the apprentice on completion of the apprenticeship.
