Business Admin Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship.

At ClearGlaze Windows and Doors Ltd, your responsibilities will be to ensure that all business administrative tasks are completed in a timely manner. This will include administration paperwork for quotations and procurements, also liaising with third party organisations.

ClearGlaze is a manufacturer of UPVC windows and Doors selling to Trade, Developers and End-User customers. From Supply to Design and Installation, ClearGlaze is geared up to becoming one of the largest UPVC manufacturers in Leicestershire.

What will the apprentice be doing?

There are two Business Admin apprenticeship positions available.

One post will be working in the pre-sales role and the second position will be working in a post-sales role.

  • Quotations – Using a bespoke program tailored to the industry, you are to manage and create quotations, sending them out to the customer in a timely manner. This will include understanding and deciphering drawings and dimensions, inputting the detailed requirements into the system and generating a quotation
  • Procurement – Reducing costs through stringent procurement processes to add value and save money, passing on those cost savings to our clients whether that be trade, end-users, or developers
  • Project Management – Click-Up is the project management tool used at ClearGlaze. Full training will be provided and ongoing support from your colleagues to guild you through each phase of the project. You will use this program to help you manage the quote bank and follow-up accordingly. You will eventually lead the end-to-end process of managing a project from £2000 to over £100,000
  • New and Existing Customers – Making telephone calls to connect with several trade customers who had previously purchased from the business to update them on the latest trends and products we can offer
  • New Business Development – Responsible for finding leads and establishing contact with new clients to grow the business.
  • Using social media platforms – to source and make contact with interested parties

Fortnightly day release college attendance required throughout the course of this apprenticeship.

Will be tasked with a project to work on during the duration of the apprenticeship.

What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Provide professional and accurate legal assistance to fee earners through the typing of dictations and file management.
  • Operate switchboard politely and confidently with the ability to ascertain key information necessary for fee-earners including taking notes and/or messages and assist independently, where possible.
  • Greet people to the office and provide refreshments or assistance.
  • Manage general office/reception administration inclusive of storing and archiving of documents and updating/data entry into our storage computer system.

With a focus on adding value, the role of business administrator contributes to the efficiency of an organisation, through support of functional areas, working across teams and resolving issues as requested.
