We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join the Blaby District Council Customer Service Team as an Apprentice Customer Services Advisor. The role will involve responding to customer contacts, primarily over the phone and through digital channels such as email and online forms.

What will the apprentice be doing?

The successful candidate will be motivated with an eye for detail.  You will be a team player but confident to work independently and have a flexible attitu de to working under pressure.  We are looking for an individual with a positive outlook and a desire to deliver a quality service to the community we serve whilst gaining a qualification at the same time.

Here are some of the duties that the team undertake each day:

  • Assist our customers by providing accurate information in response to customer enquiries (face to face, telephone, and email)
  • Maintain accurate records in accordance with GDPR
  • Open, sort and distribute incoming mail and deliveries and prepare outgoing mail for collection
  • Undertake a variety of administrative duties associated with the role
  • Process customer payments and carry out cashier duties including record keeping for reconciliation
  • Proactively obtain feedback from the public and highlight to the team leaders any potential areas for improvement

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

You will complete your training at Leicester College Freemens Park Campus. You will attend college one day per week.

You will complete an advanced Customer Service Specialist level 3 apprenticeship programme.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Once you have successfully completed your apprenticeship you can progress into a full time role or further management programmes.

What will the apprentice be doing?
