This course is designed to help you prepare for a range of different career paths in the child and healthcare sector. It is a mix of childcare and health and social care to help you build your skills and understanding of the types of things you will be doing in either area. You will learn all the key skills of caring for children and young people; including working in nurseries and building your understanding of children from birth to seven years old. You will also look at care for the elderly, care of those with special needs and how to work with families.

Our Access to Higher Education courses give people without traditional qualifications the opportunity to go onto university after just one year’s study. You will broaden your knowledge in social science and bring you up to A level standard in just one year.
