This course is designed to help you prepare for a range of different career paths in the child and healthcare sector. It is a mix of childcare and health and social care to help you build your skills and understanding of the types of things you will be doing in either area. You will learn all the key skills of caring for children and young people; including working in nurseries and building your understanding of children from birth to seven years old. You will also look at care for the elderly, care of those with special needs and how to work with families.

Thinking about university, but don't have the right qualifications? Our Access to Higher Education courses give people without traditional qualifications the opportunity to go onto university after just one year’s study. You will broaden your knowledge in social science and bring you up to A level standard in just one year.

Caring for adults is incredibly rewarding. You build relationships, you give a boost to people who really need it, and you make a difference. With your T level in health and science in your back pocket, you can stand with pride and confidence alongside any adult nursing team.

Mental health is as important as your physical health. Our T level in this area prepares you with coping strategies, knowledge of diseases and skills to support patients and their families. By working with your peers on troubleshooting scenarios, you will take your learnings into an industry placement putting theories into practice.

Possibly one of the most exciting areas of medical care is midwifery. Bringing new life into the world requires a lot of personal care skills and healthcare knowledge which is all taught at our on-campus hospital ward. Working alongside your peers you will take everything you've learnt in college into your industry placement.
