This course is aimed at people wishing to further their education within the area of fashion and textiles. You will develop skills in a wide range of areas including drawing development, computer aided design (CAD), pattern cutting and garment manufacture, and fashion design and illustration. You will learn how to design and construct garments and accessories to industrial standards and you will be taught how to use industrial machinery safely.

The course is predominantly a graphic design course with elements of interactive media covering the following subjects: ideas and concepts; drawing; design method; contextual studies; photography; screen printing; computers in art and design; and web design. The course covers the design process, and you will also be training on a range of the latest industry software including Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.

This course is ideal for complete beginners/anyone who is passionate about taking photographs using traditional and digital technology. If you are studying an art or photography GCSE, this is the natural progression to go into a full-time photography level 3 course and progress to university and/or work in the photography industry.
