Leicester College Apprenticeship Careers Fair 2016

Content

Leicester College’s annual Apprenticeship Careers Fair 2016 is on Tuesday 15 March 2016 from 1pm to 5pm at its Freemen’s Park Campus.

The Fair is taking place during National Apprenticeship Week (NAW2016) which is designed to celebrate apprenticeships and the positive impact they have on individuals, businesses and the winder community.

Research by the National Apprenticeship Service (NAS) found that majority of apprentices (90%) stay in employment (including 2% self-employed), with seven in ten (71%) staying with the same employer. NAS found that qualified apprentices were 15% more employable than those with other qualifications.

Leicester College will have over 20 employers at the Apprenticeship Careers Fair including Nylacast, Impact Ducting, Belmont Hotel and more, with over a 100 vacancies.

Tracey Kinsley, Vice Principal – Employer Engagement; Commercial and International at Leicester College says:

“Apprenticeships enable business to grow their skills base and provide business with an opportunity to build a pool of high-quality future recruits for their business.”

“We’re dedicated to delivering an event that helps both employer and prospective apprentice. The success of the event in the past has seen some great employers take on apprentices and build on that potential. The aim is to continue offering a strong apprenticeship service.”
