Leicester College awards its local business partners

Leicester College held its annual Awards to Industry Breakfast 2016 on Wednesday 13 April 2016 and the taste restaurant based at the Freemen’s Park Campus.

Awards to Industry ceremony is a celebration of the fantastic learning and training collaborations between local business and the College.

Partners were presented with awards in six categories; Work Experience Award, Partnership Award, Apprentice Employer Award, Small Business Award, Large Business Award and Company of the Year Award.

The businesses shortlisted for the awards have all provided essential support for education and training in partnership with Leicester College through donated materials, equipment and their expertise to enrich the learning experience.

Awards were presented by special guests David Simms, Managing Director of the Leicester Mercury, Jennifer Thomas, Development Manager of Federation of Small Businesses, Sue Tilly, Economic Strategy Manager – Business at the Leicester and Leicestershire Enterprise Partnership (LLEP), David Pochin, Managing Director of Robert Pochin Ltd and Chris Hobson, Director of Policy & External Affairs at the East Midlands Chamber of Commerce.

The Company of the Year award was won by Accredo Support and Development for the third year in a row.
