Leicester College will be showcasing its adult learning opportunities on Tuesday 16 June 2015 between 4.00 – 7.30pm at our Abbey Park Campus.

The Adult Learning Event is being held as part of National Adult Learner’s Week 13 – 19 June.  The aim is to help adults who want to embark on a new journey within education.

Although cuts have been prominent within adult education in national headlines; Leicester College hopes to highlight the many opportunities within further education still available to adults.

The Event will have a team of curriculum experts from all subject areas including all level 3 and 4 courses as well as BTECs and Access to Higher Education. Advice will be provided on course content, study patterns, and financial support available to adults.

The College’s welfare and information centre teams will also be available to help with information about funding your studies, as well as how to gain access to 24+ Advanced Learning Loans.

Principal of Leicester College, Verity Hancock says:

“Leicester College is pleased to be able to help adult learners gain the education they require, whether it is to up-skill, have a change of career or access higher education.”

“We hope our Adult Learner Event will help those adults considering going back into education access to the information they need to make the right choices for them.”

Leicester College is also holding its annual Adult Learner Awards on the Friday 16 June 2015 to celebrate the successes of the learners over the last year.
