Leicester College has teamed up with one of the world’s leading suppliers of footwear software to provide its learners with the latest up-to-date technology to speed up the development of footwear design.

The company is the leading supplier of CAD/CAM software to the footwear industry and have released the new 3D footwear design solution ShoeMaker to Leicester College.

Delcam CRISPIN Shoemaker Pro software, is worth £60,000, which the company is providing to Leicester College for free. The software will give learners access to a computer-assisted-design (CAD) package, which will reduce the costs of developing designs, design features in a 3D pattern and a 2D output direct to factory shoe production.

The company is the leading supplier of CAD/CAM software to the footwear industry and have released the new 3D footwear design solution ShoeMaker to Leicester College, making us the only FE establishment in the UK to offer this software to its learners.

Delcam CRISPIN chose Leicester College, thanks to its reputation as one of the leading International Footwear Schools globally in the footwear industry.

In addition two graduates from the College’s footwear course are now employed for the company as shoe designers.

Lauren Whitaker graduated from the Foundation Degree course in Footwear and Ian Burgess completed in HND in Footwear. Both are alumni members.
