Leicester College is excited to announce the Delcam CRISPIN CADCAM suite at its city centre St Margaret’s Campus is now open.

On Friday 12 December 2014, Leicester College was joined by representatives from Delcam CRISPIN head office and many footwear industry professionals to witness the ribbon cutting and announce the opening of the CADCAM suite.

The newly refurbished suite contains brand new world leading Delcam CRISPIN’s full CAD/CAM footwear software, making Leicester College the only further education establishment in the UK to offer this software to its footwear learners.

Graham Vollans, Footwear Business Development Manager at Delcam Crispin said:

Verity Hancock, Principal at Leicester College said: “Partnering with Delcam CRISPIN will help the College create a world recognised centre of excellence for footwear in Leicester. The opportunity to work with industry standard software is an exceptional resource for our learners and I would like to replicate this across other disciplines to benefit the College and the city. Leicester is the fastest growing economy in the midlands, it would be fantastic to contribute to that.”

Two of the college’s footwear course graduates are now employed by Delcam. Lauren Whitaker graduated from the Foundation Degree course in Footwear and Ian Burgess completed his Higher National Diploma in Footwear. Both are college alumni members.
