Updated information: Calculating grades for Access to HE Diplomas

Content

The QAA – The Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education –announced changes to the way Access to HE courses will be graded.

If you’re due to complete your Access to HE studies by 31 July this year, you will now receive calculated grades for all remaining assessments with submission dates after 20 March 2020.

Information about exactly how your grades will be calculated is now available see the link below:

We are not allowed to tell students what grades we have given them. All teachers are working really hard to gather all the information we need to provide to the awarding organisation, so please do not contact them directly to discuss this, as we do not have any more information than what has already been shared by QAA.

We will, however, continue to make learning and teaching resources and opportunities available to ensure that you have covered all the subject knowledge required of your diploma and are as well prepared as you can be for your transition into higher education. We know that many of you have other responsibilities, however, it is important that you continue to participate in these opportunities wherever possible. You will not be disadvantaged if you are unable to keep studying in the current circumstances.

You can read the full guidance from government by clicking on the links below. We will send you more details when they are available.

If you have any queries specific to your course please contact your tutor directly. If you have a general query you should email info@leicestercollege.ac.uk.

NOTE: this information about grades relates only to students enrolled on a Access to HE course.
