English and maths

Our maths and English courses are designed for adults who haven’t got a GCSE (or equivalent) in one or both of these subjects.

Functional skills and GCSE maths and English courses are free. We also offer a choice of study options – in a classroom or online.

In today’s competitive job market these qualifications are often needed. So whether you want to boost your job prospects, dream of studying at university, or simply want to say that you have a level 2 qualification in both maths and English our courses are for you.

Further Information

GCSEs are now awarded a number from 9 to 1 (9 is the highest grade) instead of A* to G grades. Leicester College accepts a grade 4 as equivalent to the old C grade.
