Experience a day in the life of a Leicester College student and get a chance to meet your future course teachers!
Experience Day is a chance for new and prospective full-time students to get a taste of campus life. If you are leaving secondary school or aged 16-18 years old and have an active application to attend Leicester College as your next step, then this event is for you!
(Please note: This event is NOT for students who have applied to Access to Higher Education, Higher Education, Supported Learning, Launchpad or T level courses)
Spend time with your course tutors, meet your classmates, and see the campus from a new perspective as you begin your journey as a Leicester College student.
How to book your place
THIS EVENT IS BY INVITATION ONLY – IF YOU DO NOT REGISTER WE CAN NOT GUARANTEE YOUR PARTICIPATION ON THE DAY OF THE EVENT
Experience Day will take place on Tuesday 2 July 2024, 9 am – 1 pm
You will be emailed a direct link to register for this event. Invitations will be sent every two weeks from 15 April 2024.
Deadline to register is 31 May 2024. We will be unable to accommodate any further bookings after this date.
You will need to arrive on the campus your course is being taught between 8:30 am and 9 am to sign in.
What you can expect from the day:
8:30 am | Registration open Sign in to event and be directed to your course area |
9 am | Registration closes If you are late and arrive after registration, we cannot guarantee you will be able to take part in the day. |
9 am – 1 pm | Tutor-led sessions and activities |
1 pm | End of event Canteens are open between 1 pm – 2 pm for students to buy lunch, hang out and wait to be collected Depart your campus for home. |
Visitors and parking
Experience Day is for prospective students only – parents, friends, and non-applicant students, will not be able to accompany you. Please let us know during your booking if you require extra support on the day. Drop-off is permitted, but there will be no available parking on site. If you carry a blue badge, please contact us.

Food and Drink
Students will receive a bottle of water when signing in for this event.
If you currently receive free school meals at your school/college please let us know during booking so we can arrange a meal voucher for you.
We strongly advise students to bring their own packed lunch for the day as there may not be time to order food from our canteens during the break your tutor gives you.
The canteens will be open for one-hour post-event (1 pm – 2 pm) for students to hang out, get food and wait to be collected.
Before you travel on the day please make sure:
- you have confirmation of your booking.
- have checked what campus your course will be at and should be travelling to.
- you have packed yourself some lunch or money to buy lunch.
- Have checked whether or not you require any special equipment for your day with us.
