Course Overview

This practical course is for adults whose first language is not English and is available at the Ross Walk Centre in Belgrave. This short course is for learners who wish to learn about the art of Scandinavian crochet and then create a range of items of clothing and soft furnishings.

What You'll Learn

Year 1

You will learn the basic skills of crochet techniques. You will have the opportunity to create a variety of crocheted items including clothing, bags, decorations, and items of your choice. This course will help you to develop your English and maths skills and you will benefit from working together in a calm and productive environment.

Entry Requirements

There are no formal entry requirements for this course.

How you will be assessed

You will complete an internal course assessment. This course is aimed at supporting students who are considering applying for a provisional licence or taking their driving theory test. Your tutor will advise you on progression. You will have the opportunity to study at a higher level or to take classes in a different subject. What Happens Next

Apply online via the College website. You will be contacted to come into College if required, or you will be sent a conditional offer according to the entry requirements
for the course. You will then be invited in to enrol for your chosen course of study.
