Student Wellbeing and Safety

Student wellbeing and safety

Whether it’s your physical or mental health we want to do all that we can to help you to stay healthy and well. We have lots of service and support designed to help you.

It’s important to us that everyone – staff, students and visitors – stay safe and well while at college.

There’s lots that you can do to help keep yourself and others safe. There are barriers at our main campuses to make sure that only staff, students and authorised visitors can get into the buildings. You will need your ID badge to get through the barriers.

If you have lost your badge you can get a new one at student services. The first time you need a replacement it will cost you £3.50; the second time £5. Any further replacements will cost £10.

If your badge is faulty, and doesn't open the barriers, you can get a replacement for free from student services.

It’s important to wear your lanyard and ID badge whenever you are on campus. That way we know that who is meant to be in our buildings.

If you are worried about something, or concerned about a friend you can talk to any member of staff who your trust. Or you can contact the safeguarding team.
