Careers Advice
Get impartial careers advice no matter your age.
- Careers
Our careers teams offer free, unbiased advice on options after school. This includes going to university, changing careers, and finding an apprenticeship or job.
You can use the service if you are, a school student unsure of what to do next, a current student, or a local adult in need of support. We have two teams. One is for young people. The other is the National Careers Service, which advises adults aged 19 and over.
It’s easy to make appointments with both teams. Appointments can be made via Microsoft Teams, in person, by email or phone. If you are an adult, you can also go along to the Careers Hub at our Abbey Park Campus, between 9am and 3pm Monday to Friday.
The service is Matrix Accredited, which means that you can be sure that the advice given meets externally recognised standards.
What jobs and skills are in demand?
You may want to know how much you could earn after studying. Maybe you aren’t sure about what you want to do and would like to know what skills and jobs are in demand. There is imformation about this on each course page or you can take a look at broader Labour Market Information (LMI) below.
There are lots of websites and resources that offer information and advice on career options.
