Free Adults Courses
We offer free adult courses. They aim to boost your skills, employability, and personal growth. These courses cover many subjects. They include digital literacy, language skills, vocational training, and professional certifications. We offer flexible learning. We have part-time and evening classes. This makes education accessible to all adults, no matter their schedules. As long as you earn up to £25,750* and meet the eligible criteria, you can apply!

Sector-based Work Academy Programme (SWAP)
SWAP helps jobseekers aged 16 and over, who claim benefits, find work. This programme, lasting up to 6 weeks, provides:
Pre-employment training for your chosen industry, by our college or a local provider.
A short work placement to gain practical experience within your field of interest.
A guaranteed job interview or help with your job application.
SWAP is a collaborative effort between our college, local businesses, and Jobcentre Plus. This programme's delivery is a shared responsibility. Each partner plays a vital role. You will have a dedicated Jobcentre contact. They will help match you with employers. This program will give you the skills to get a job in your chosen field. We currently have SWAP programmes with the NHS, security and railway networks.
Skills Bootcamps
Skills Bootcamps are free, government-funded courses that help adults develop in-demand skills and progress into good jobs. Whether you’re looking to change career, upskill in your current role, or return to work after a break, our Skills Bootcamps offer a practical route to success.
You’ll gain an understanding of professional standards, communication, all while developing the confidence and competence to secure your next steps whether it is in education or the world of work.
Upon successful completion, students are guaranteed a job interview with a local employer, giving you the opportunity to put your new skills into action straight away.
