Libraries

The Library at Leicester College is here to support all students with their learning and study.

The service offers a wide variety of resources including:

  • Study space – both for group work and quiet individual study, and dedicated areas for HE students

  • PCs can be booked in advance, and support with using them

  • Course textbooks and journals in both print and electronic versions

  • Reading for leisure, including fiction, graphic novels, lifestyle and hobby books

  • Reading and quiet space for wellbeing and mental health

  • A dedicated e-Library on the College’s VLE Moodle, that hosts all of the Library’s e-books, e-journals and databases as well as information to support study

  • Loans can be renewed, resources researched and reserved through the Library online catalogue

  • DVDs and music CDs free to borrow

  • MFDs for copying, printing and scanning

  • Click and collect service is available through the Library online catalogue for Library resources. A ‘how to’ guide can be found in the e-Library under ‘Help and Support’.

  • You can request a wifi dongle on loan.

Students can borrow resources from any of the three main campus libraries using their student ID card. Learner Outreach Centre students can visit the libraries – ask at the receptions for details.
