With an Access course, it's never too late to go to uni

I left it too late to go to university…
Maybe you left school some time (or a lot of time) ago. Maybe you’ve got family responsibilities, a job, and a household to manage. But whatever your situation, if you’ve been out of the academic environment for a long time and/or you don’t have A levels, an Access course with Leicester College could be the answer.
Real learners’ experiences
Rajvee Purohit did her Access to HE course at Leicester College and now works at Bellrock FM.
Of her time with us, Rajvee says: “the culture, tutors and course structure were perfectly created and adapted to higher education. They also helped create a community of like-minded people who have become life-long friends.”
She said that the course helped her to “become confident within academia after a long period in the working environment.” She also loved “the ability to be in a dynamic environment which catered to all needs!”
Learners Dominic Monteiro and Santos Fowler both took an Access to Humanities course, and Santos credits his study at Leicester College for helping him to “advance later in life”.
Why would I do an Access course?
Access courses are designed for adults without traditional qualifications to go to university. British universities normally accept these one-year courses as equivalent to A levels. An Access course allows you to apply for degree courses in subjects such as business, nursing, education, law, and more.
There’s no upper age limit and everyone on the course is an adult. It’s not like going back to school, but it is a fresh opportunity to achieve your goals. You may also be eligible for an advanced learner loan to help you pay for it.
