Health and Social Care

Our health and social care courses are designed to develop your skills and knowledge in order to enter into the caring professions. We also offer distance learning options which are free if you’ve lived in England for the past three years. Full-time courses are available at levels 1, 2 and 3 – you can choose from a T Level or you can choose an apprenticeship which allow you to work and earn a wage while gaining a professional qualification with us. It’s also possible to study for your Access course with us.

Sports and Fitness

Whether you’re interested in teaching PE, coaching, exercise, fitness or sport science, we have the courses to enable you to be a part of these exciting professions. With the opening of the new Arena, in partnership with Leicester Riders at our Abbey Park Campus and our own dedicated lottery funded Sports Maker, we can offer extensive access to excellent facilities.

Science

From BTEC diplomas to Access programmes, we offer science-based courses at levels 2, and 3. Courses cover essential elements of all three of the main science disciplines: biology, chemistry, and physics. Our BTEC courses are focussed on employment and working in the science industry (for example as a technician, or in the fields of engineering, pharmacology, forensics or other scientific industries), while our pre-Access and Access programmes will enable you to apply for entry to a science-based degree at university.
