MKA Community Centre/Education and Skills Centre

The community centre is based in the heart of Leicester in Evington. The community centre are extremely proud to serve the Khatri and other communities, living in and around Highfields area of Leicester.The MKA Community Centre was established in 1982 as the UK Khatri Welfare Centre. Early work consisted mainly of translation, interpretation, funerals, social gatherings and marriage counselling. However, due to the changing needs of the community, the Centre has evolved into its present form.

At St Stephen’s Road Outreach Centre everyone is made to feel part of the family by the enthusiastic and friendly staff.The centre offers English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) courses, and it’s been such a hit, the premises were extended to cope with demand from local residents.At the centre you can learn at your own pace, with plenty of one-to-one guidance, and a wide range of subjects and skills.

Bus
You can use the Moovit website or app to get the easiest route by bus. Information on timetables is at Traveline.
Car
From the north take the M1 and leave at juntion 22. From the south take the M1 and exit at junction 21. From the west take M69, Leicester junction. From the East, take the A47 or A6.
Note there is very limited parking or only street parking at our local learning centres, you may need to park in a car park or paid street parking.
Train
Leicester Train Station is a 25-minute walk from our main campuses. Visit National Rail.
