Summary

Apprentice will be working towards the Engineering Maintenance Technician – Dual Discipline apprenticeship, the apprentice will develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to carry out planned, preventative and reactive maintenance activities across electrical, mechanical and control systems.

Monday - Thursday, 08:30 - 17:00 and Friday, 08:30 - 16:00. 30 minute lunch.

Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

Maintenance Activities:

  • Assist with planned and preventative maintenance to reduce breakdowns and improve equipment reliability

  • Support reactive maintenance and fault diagnosis on manufacturing plant and equipment

Help maintain electrical and mechanical systems, such as:

  • Motors (single and three-phase) Power supplies and low voltage electrical distribution 

  • Actuators, pumps, valves, fans and gearboxes 

  • Sensors, controls and basic programmable systems (where applicable)
