Working alongside other fully skilled bench joiners, gaining knowledge of the joinery manufacturing industry at the highest level, learning the trade and achieving a recognised qualification.

Working week

Monday - Thursday, 7 .00am - 5.00pm (can be flexible on the start time)

38 hours a week

What will the apprentice be doing?

Duties include:

  • Learning basic joinery skills

  • move between different departments

  • using hand tools

  • understanding risks and housekeeping

  • Learn to manufacture doors, windows and stairs.

Your training plan

  • The successful applicant will work towards the Bench Joinery Level 2 Apprenticeship, attending Leicester College Freemen's Park Campus 2 days every 2 weeks.

Requirements

Essential qualifications

GCSE in:

  • English (grade 2 or equivalent)

  • Maths (grade 2 or equivalent)
