A fantastic opportunity has become available for an Apprentice Dental Nurse at our friendly dental practice. Dental Art is situated on Evington Road in Leicester. A practice which offers a variety of dental procedures and cosmetic makeovers to meet our patient needs. It is an approved Enhanced Foundation Training Private/NHS dental practice.
Working week
Monday to Friday, 9am- 5pm – Saturday morning (optional).
35 hours a week
Annual Wage
£14,560 a year

What will the apprentice be doing?
We will provide the candidate with comprehensive training and guidance in both surgical and reception duties. They will also gain extensive experience in assisting with orthodontic treatments and working alongside our Specialist Minor Oral Surgeons, who perform complex extraction work and other general dentistry treatments. As an Apprentice Dental Nurse, your role will be to assist the dentist with all clinical aspects within the surgery. This also includes:
Always greet and care for all patients in a polite and courteous manner
Work closely with the dentist in a professional and appropriate manner
Provide chairside assistance during all dental procedures
Update computer records and taking notes
Cleaning surgeries to a high level, maintaining strict cross-infection controls
Preparing instruments and materials during treatments
Carry out reception and administrative tasks where required

Training
An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying. This successful apprentice will work with the team five days each week and one day every month they will attend Leicester College at Freemen's Park Campus.

English (grade 4/C or equivalent)
