What You'll Learn

Year 1

You will learn the setup, interface, and basic tools. These include layers, formatting, and different pen tools. Once you have successfully learned these skills, we will cover some advanced features.

You will create simple shapes and logo elements. Then, build them into compositions. You will also learn about anchor points, control handles, stroke, and fill. You will study the pen tool and some advanced shape and pathfinder features.

Entry Requirements

There are no formal entry requirements for this course but it’s advantageous if you have a keen interest in graphics and the use of vector graphics.

How you will be assessed

There are no formal assessments on the course, students need to complete the set exercises and can then negotiate their own designs.

Course and Career progression

This is an attendance-only course with no qualifications attached. It can also lead to other related part-time programmes including Adobe Indesign and Adobe Photoshop.
