Description

Californian singer-songwriter and guitarist Jesca Hoop plays Sue Townsend Theatre en route to supporting Paul Simon at his British Summer Time Hyde Park event.

Now with Sub Pop records, Manchester based Jesca has several studio albums, live recordings, EPs and collaborations with other artistes to her credit. Her style has been described as largely experimental with folk, rock, and electronic influences.

Her fans include Tom Waits (he employed Jesca as a nanny) and Peter Gabriel. She has toured and recorded with Sam Beam (Iron and Wine) and has worked with Elbow and Mark Knopfler and this September she will be opening for José González.
