Welcome to Leicester College!

One of the largest public further education colleges in the UK, we offer a range of English language (ESOL) courses, Semester in Leicester! Study Abroad Programmes and International Foundation Programmes (IFPs) to provide access to higher education in the UK.

De Montfort University Associate College

Leicester College is an Associate College of De Montfort University and works with De Montfort to provide pathways to degree level in many subject areas following study at Leicester College. Significantly, students successfully completing our IFPs will be entitled to automatic progression to a relevant De Montfort University undergraduate (Bachelor’s degree) programme. Of course our IFPs can also lead to enrolment in higher education courses at any UK university.

International School of Footwear

Leicester College is home to the world-renowned International School of Footwear, which was established in Leicester in 1897, which also includes a CAD Centre of Excellence.

Over its 120 year history, the International School of Footwear has hosted students from more than 60 countries – including Japan, Indonesia, India, South Africa, Sweden, the Netherlands, the United States, Mexico, Greece, Turkey and Zambia.

International Student Enrichment Activities 

On arrival in Leicester, the International Office will provide sessions to welcome you to the College and to provide additional information and support to help you integrate into the College and into the City of Leicester itself.

In addition to coursework, a series of enrichment activities are available for our international students. A range of activities and events are generally offered – some specifically for international students and some open to all College students – designed to help you make new friends and enrich your understanding of the UK’s different cultures and traditions. An enrichment timetable of activities will be provided to you at enrolment.

Our International Office is located at our  St Margaret’s Campus, which is located between St John Street and Grafton Place near the St Margaret’s Bus Station in Leicester city centre.
