Shabir Ismail appointed as the new Principal and CEO of Leicester College

Following the expected departure of our current Principal and CEO Verity Hancock this summer, we are pleased to announce that Shabir Ismail has been appointed as the new Principal and CEO of Leicester College. Shabir brings many years of valuable experience to this role and has demonstrated his dedication to the College and more widely to Leicester during his tenure as Acting Principal. 

Shabir will officially take up the post on 19 August when Verity formally leaves the role. Until then, he will continue to serve as Acting Principal, ensuring a smooth transition and continuity in our operations. 

The Board and staff of Leicester College congratulate Shabir on this well-deserved appointment. We look forward to the continued success and growth of the College under his leadership as well as working to support the wider community of Leicester and Leicestershire in the years ahead.
