Leicester College is hosting an Apprenticeship, Skills and Jobs Fair from 3-6pm on 11 February 2026 at Leicester Tigers’ Mattioli Woods Welford Road stadium, sponsored by Nylacast and Forward and Thinking. It will showcase how adult learning can boost skills and career opportunities, and the range of apprenticeship options available for people aged 16 and above.

The Apprenticeship, Skills and Jobs Fair 2026 will highlight the range of apprenticeships available at the College, local job vacancies and the career pathways open to students. Apprenticeships are available in a range of sectors including construction, engineering and motor vehicle, dental, commis chef, hairdressing and business.

The event will connect students, job seekers and career changers with employers and training providers. A number of local employers will be attending including William Davis, Nylacast, Sureserve and EE Smith.

The Fair will offer career advice, talks that will guide people on how they can boost their employability and guidance on applying for apprenticeships. It will also facilitate networking between employers, curriculum areas, and prospective apprentices and job seekers.

National data shows that adults aged 19+ accounted for 77% of apprenticeship starts in 2023/24, with 63% of those learners aged over 25. In the context of the cost-of-living crisis, many adults are choosing apprenticeships as a way to earn while they learn, retrain without financial strain and progress into new careers while supporting their families.
