Leicester College wins best School/College in UK Social Mobility Awards

Leicester College has won the best School/College of the Year category in the 2024 UK Social Mobility Awards (SOMOs).
The Awards were established to recognise and celebrate forward-thinking organisations that are actively creating positive social change for their employees and in their communities, by embedding social mobility initiatives into their core business strategy.
Melanie Arrowsmith, Head of Student Services and Engagement at Leicester College said: “We’re delighted to receive this award that recognises the progress that we’ve made in the social mobility area. We’ve increased our focus on meeting the needs of a growing number of students who present with multiple barriers on reaching further education by expanding our range of activities and services for them.”
