We can only accept passports and National EU Identity Cards as identification documents. No other forms of ID can be accepted.
You must have your original passport or National EU Identity Card on your test day.
Step One – How do I apply?
Apply online at www.ielts.britishcouncil.org/leicestercollege. Booking online is the most efficient way to reserve your IELTS test session.

Step Two – How do I pay my test fee?
Online via the web link provided in the automated email you should receive once you have completed the online application form
Over the phone by calling 0116 2242240 and asking for the Information Centre
In person at the Information Centre at any of our three city centre campuses.
You must have your IELTS reference number to hand when paying for your test fee. Our 2016 test date fee is £153. Our 2017 test fee is £155.
Step Three – How do I send my ID document?
Email us your ID document at firstname.lastname@example.org
Visit the IELTS Office at the Abbey Park Campus with your original ID Document. We can then photocopy this for you.
You must send us a copy of your passport or National EU Identity Card and pay your test fee as part of your IELTS application. If you do not complete the full application process within the required time frame, your IELTS application will be cancelled and you will lose your test fee.
You have five calendar days to complete your application.
If you apply within eight days of the test date, you have three calendar days to complete your application.
Once your application is complete, you will receive a confirmation email and confirmation letters detailing the information necessary for your test day.
