Moving from school to college can be difficult and the summer holidays can be tough for many young people. To help with the transition and to keep you in touch with others during the holiday we are holding fun sports, gaming, art, and cooking sessions during July and August.
These sessions are specifically for care-experienced young people, students with Education Health Care Plan (EHCPs), young adult carers, young people with learning disabilities, those with mental health difficulties, or current students who are being supported by our ASPIRE and counselling service.
You can book as many activities as you like, the dates and times are on the booking page.
OUR ACTIVITIES:
Cooking - Join us over the summer and produce your own fresh dough pizza as well as chocolate chip cookies in our fully equipped kitchen. You will be able to enjoy your pizzas at lunch time and take your cookies home.
Dates:
Tuesday 29 July 10am -1:30pm at Freemen’s Park Campus
Tuesday 5 August 10am -1:30pm at Freemen’s Park Campus
Sports Activities - Fun summer activities to support young people take part in a range of sports and games.
Dates:
Wednesday 30 July 10am -1pm at Abbey Park Campus
Wednesday 6 August 10am -1pm at Abbey Park Campus
Gameracy - It's an easy to learn, roleplaying experience - if you have an interest in D&D, this is a great place to start. More than just a game, this is a journey into imagination and learning, improving literacy while exploring the myths and legends of the deep dark woods. Transforming the Library into a Land of Magic and Mystery, step into a World of Folklore Fantasy with us - no experience required!
Dates:
Friday 1 August 10am - 12pm at Freemen’s Park Campus - Library
Tuesday 8 August 10am - 12pm at Abbey Park Campus - Library
Art - Art can express a thousand words without the artist needing to speak one. It can break down a barrier to communication and support emotional expression, mental health, and personal development. Participating in art can reduce stress, improve focus, and boost mood by promoting relaxation and mindfulness.
Do you enjoy Art? Or just want to take part in a mindfulness session?
If yes, then join our Art session, which will be focusing on identity and belonging. Tell your story or express an interest of yours through creativity and colour in a safe, impartial space.

Thursday 7 August 10am - 1pm at St Margaret’s Campus
