This course is designed as an extension for those who have completed their Higher National Certificate in Construction Management and would like to progress onto the Higher National Diploma and study on a one-year full-time basis. The course consists of mandatory and optional subject units, covering topics such as Project Management, Contract Management, Construction Technology, Sustainable Construction, and Group Project.
There are five mandatory subjects areas (all 15 credits) that will need to be achieved, these are:
- Project Management
- Personal Professional Development
- Construction Technology for Complex Buildings
- Maintenance and Operations
- Group Project.
A further three optional units will be agreed upon, completing eight modules in total (120 credits). You will complete these through assignments, case studies, reports, presentations, and group project work.
To enrol on this course, you will have already achieved the Higher National Certificate (HNC) Construction Management qualification.
- Annual Tuition fee: £6695
Academic progression:
240 credits transferable to a BSc Construction Management top-up degree (2 years part-time) at Leicester College
Credits are also recognised at other HE institutions at their discretion.
Career Progression:
This course is suitable for those either just starting their career in construction management or for those already in the construction industry looking to progress further into more management or leadership roles.
