If your first language is not English and you’re 19+ or older, this course is available to you at the Ross Walk Centre in Belgrave. Learn different crochet techniques, patterns, and projects while improving your English. The course runs termly and you can join at any point in the term.
You’ll develop essential crochet skills, including understanding basic stitches, reading patterns, and creating a variety of projects like scarves, hats, and home decor. You’ll also improve your hand-eye coordination and creativity while learning about different yarns and tools. The course supports your English development through practical, hands-on activities in a friendly, supportive environment.
There are no formal entry requirements. Your level of English will be assessed at the time of enrolment.
This course is aimed at supporting you to progress to a career or further study in Textiles and Fashion. Your tutor will advise you on future courses. You will have the opportunity to study at a higher level or to take classes in a different subject. Careers Information, advice, and guidance are also available at Leicester College.
Apply online via the College website. You will be contacted to come into College if required, or you will be sent a conditional offer according to the entry requirements for the course. You will then be invited in to enrol for your chosen course of study. For enrol and pay courses: Once you have decided to take the course, you need to fill in a short student details form online and pay the course fee. Once you have done this, you will receive an electronic confirmation of enrolment and payment.
