This non-accredited course runs from Belgrave ESOL - Ross Walk campus, each Thursday, 12:30 – 2pm on a termly basis. Running from January to March. This is a tutor led beginners course. You will learn basic beauty skills. Within each term we aim to cover two treatments, basic manicure with hand and arm massage and a superficial and deep facial massage in one term, then basic make-up application and pedicure in another term.

This course combines practical ESOL lessons with hands-on beauty topics such as skincare, makeup, and self-care. Learn key vocabulary, product knowledge, and techniques while boosting confidence, communication, and wellbeing. Ideal for those considering a career in beauty.
We will cover:
- Basic salon Health and Safety
- Booking appointments
- Customer service skills
- Basic manicure with hand and arm massage
- Superficial and deep facial massage
- Basic make-up application
- Pedicure
There are no formal entry requirements. Your level of English will be assessed at the time of enrolment.
This course is aimed at supporting students who are considering progressing to a career or further study in beauty. Your tutor will advise you on progression. You will have the opportunity to study at a higher level or to take classes in a different subject. Careers Information, advice and guidance is also available at Leicester College.
Apply online via the College website. You will be contacted to come into College if required, or you will be sent a conditional offer according to the entry requirements for the course. You will then be invited in to enrol for your chosen course of study. For enrol and pay courses: Once you have decided to take the course, you need to fill in a short student details form online and pay the course fee. Once you have done this, you will receive an electronic confirmation of enrolment and payment.
