This course is perfect if English is not your first language.
It will help you to improve your knowledge of beauty skills treatments and products.
You will also gain practical experience of salon treatments. The course runs termly and you can join at any point in the term.
This non-accredited course runs every Thursday from September to December and is delivered at the Belgrave ESOL - Ross Walk campus.
Enhance your English skills while developing practical beauty and salon skills in a relaxed, supportive environment. This course combines ESOL learning with hands-on beauty topics, including basic salon health and safety, booking appointments and customer service skills. You will also learn basic beauty skills, with two treatments covered each term. These include a basic manicure with hand and arm massage, superficial and deep facial massage, basic make-up application and pedicures. Build your confidence, communication skills and practical knowledge while exploring opportunities within the beauty industry.
There are no formal entry requirements. Your level of English will be assessed at the time of enrolment.
This course is aimed at supporting students who are considering progressing to a career or further study in beauty. Your tutor will advise you on progression. You will have the opportunity to study at a higher level or to take classes in a different subject. Careers Information, advice and guidance is also available at Leicester College.
Apply online via the College website. You will be contacted to come into College if required, or you will be sent a conditional offer according to the entry requirements for the course. You will then be invited in to enrol for your chosen course of study. For enrol and pay courses: Once you have decided to take the course, you need to fill in a short student details form online and pay the course fee. Once you have done this, you will receive an electronic confirmation of enrolment and payment.
