This one day course is designed to help various industries, organisations and businesses in better understanding their impact on the natural environment, biodiversity, habitats and ecosystems. The programme will inform and support organisations and businesses in deciding on the correct course of environmental action and required level of involvement to reduce impacts on the natural environment.
Throughout the full-day program, the topics will cover: - Natural and built environment - Anthropological impacts - Biodiversity, biomes, biogeography and natural succession - Legislation, regulations and land protection status - Invasive flora and fauna species. Identification and removal - Ecology and ecological systems and surveys - Applying positive practical measures to improve organisations impact on the natural environment
There are no entry requirements for this course, but it is designed for adults aged 19 and over who want to enhance their knowledge and skills in green practices within their organiz=sation or business.
A short online interactive assessment will be given to check your overall understanding of the topic. The assessment will use multiple-choice questions.
