This one day course is designed to help various industries, organisations and businesses in better understanding the requirements for energy conservation and efficient buildings and structures. The programme will inform and support organisations and businesses in deciding on measures and techniques in both conserving energy and improving the energy efficiency of buildings and structures.
Over the full-day program, the topics will cover: - Understanding energy and the laws of thermal dynamics - Energy conservation, considerations and improvements - Energy assessment, Energy Performance Certification (EPC) - Monitor energy performance over time - Material thermal performance, K, R and U- Values - Calculate thermal performance, heat loss/gain through building fabric and ventilation
There are no entry requirements for this course, but it is designed for adults aged 19+ over who want to enhance their knowledge and skills in green practices within their organisation or business.
A short online interactive assessment will be given to check your overall understanding of the topic. The assessment will use multiple-choice questions.
