Our part time evening Hairdressing Diploma level 3 course aims to provide you with a range of specialist practical skills and technical knowledge which will equip you to gain employment or further training within the hairdressing industry. This course has been built to develop your skills further after completing the level 2 course. This part time evening course has been created for 19+ students only.
This course covers the following units: 1.Hairdressing consultation services 2.Cutting hair using advanced techniques 3.Creatively colour and lighten hair 4.Creatively style and dress the hair 5.Hair colour correction services 6.Creative hair design skills/ Competition work 7.Promoting services and products to clients These units will be demonstrated to you during the evening, and allow you to practice skills in preparation for assessments.
Standard entry to this course requires one reference. It is desirable that you can demonstrate 90% attendance. Consideration will be given to all applicants over the age of 19, who do not hold formal English and maths qualifications.
You will complete regular assessments on each unit delivered and give you the opportunity to showcase the selection of skills, techniques, concepts, theories, and knowledge required to pass the course. There are Formative (practice assessments) and Summative (final assessments), which you be work towards completing. All of the practical skills assessed are graded pass, merit and distinction.

Apply online via the College website. You will need details of your qualifications and employment history, a reference, and a personal statement to complete your application. Once your application has been successfully processed, you will be sent a conditional offer and be invited to a Welcome Event at the College to meet your tutors, learn more about your chosen course of study and tour the facilities. You will then need to confirm your acceptance of the course offered to you.
