This course is for adults aged 19+ whose first language is not English and is available at all ESOL venues.
Suitable for those who have not studied maths previously in the UK or those who want to refresh their maths skills and progress to a higher level.
The course runs twice a year and you can join at any point.
What You'll Learn
You will develop your maths skills and concepts and learn about their application in everyday life, leading to levels 1 and 2 Functional Skills qualifications. The course content includes percentages, fractions, measurements, shapes, complex calculations, data, and graphs. The course will also include the language, literacy skills and vocabulary related to these maths topics, aiding progression to GCSE maths.

How you will be assessed
You will take a Functional Skills assessment set by the Edexcel awarding organisation. If you are enrolling a non-accredited module will complete an internal assessment.
Tuition Fees (19+): £0.00
If the course is longer than one year the total fees are for the first year only and further fees may apply in future years. All fees are based on a ‘home’ learner status. Please contact us for information on overseas fees.
