There are lots of roles and opportunities in this sector and this course explores some of the key areas for anyone who has an interest in starting a career in this exciting industry.
What You'll Learn
Year 1
The course offers you a great deal of flexibility, so you can shape what you learn at your own pace.
The course is made up of several units, each worth a number of credits. To achieve the extended award, you would need to gain a total of 9 credits. There is one mandatory unit, worth 3 credits, and then you choose from the optional units to gain the additional 6 credits.
Mandatory Unit (3 Credits)
– Operating within a supply chain, worth 3 credits
Optional units (you must achieve 6 credits from the following units below to gain the qualification)
– Environmental impact of transport and logistic operations, worth 2 credits
– Introduction to distribution operations, worth 2 credits
– Introduction to importing and exporting, worth 2 credits
– Introduction to transport and logistics legislation, worth 2 credits
Entry Requirements
There are no formal entry requirements, however, a reasonable level of literacy is required.
How you will be assessed
This qualification is assessed by short answer questions and multiple-choice exams.
