This course is ideal for you if you would like to live and work abroad as an overseas Resort Representative for a holiday company in the future. Delivered online using Microsoft teams, this course is a flexible option around your current work-life schedule.

What You'll Learn
Year 1
The level 2 Award for Resort Representatives provides the skills, knowledge, and understanding required to carry out the role of Resort Representative, to work overseas. If you are interested, specialist knowledge will be taught in subjects such as:
Unit 1 – Investigate employment opportunities for Resort Representatives.
In this unit, you will investigate the skills and experience needed to become a Resort Representative. You will identify current job opportunities, apply for a post and take part in a real or simulated interview.
Unit 2 – Understand the role of a Representative in a holiday resort
You will begin to understand the responsibilities and legal requirements for health and safety in the resort, along with demonstrating your customer service skills.
Unit 3 – Prepare for the start of the holiday season
This unit will provide you with the skills and knowledge to assist in setting up a resort pre-season before guests arrive.
Unit 4 – Manage airport and transport duties
You will work practically on the arrival and departure process in this unit, and carry out your own transfer speeches. You will also investigate the check-in process and identify potential problems that may arise on arrival and departure.
Unit 5 – Investigate the role of the Children’s Representative in a holiday resort
This unit will give you an overview of the Children’s Representative role. You will prepare appropriate children’s club activities and create promotional materials for these.

You will be assessed through a series of coursework assignments to complete a portfolio of evidence.

Course and Career progression
Successful completion of this course will give you several employability and education options. You could gain employment within the travel industry, apply for a level 3 or higher education course with us or at another provider. We have a number of level 3 and Higher Education Travel and Tourism courses available). These courses are delivered by staff who are subject specialists.
What Happens Next
Apply online via the College website. You will be contacted to attend an interview if required, or you will be sent a conditional offer according to the entry requirements for the course. You will then be invited in to enrol for your chosen course of study.
