Course Overview
This course is for adults aged 19+. Are you looking to develop your industry skills and knowledge in pattern cutting and making for dresses? This seven-week course gives you the opportunity to use a wide range of industrial equipment to develop your skills to produce a garment using professional techniques. Intended as a part-time hobby course you may feel inspired towards a new career path or other part-time courses we offer at the college.
What You'll Learn
Year 1
During the course, you will have the opportunity to construct a garment using professional industry methods.
As part of the course, you will be introduced to a range of industrial equipment, pattern cutting techniques and development associated with the production of dresses.
Additionally, health and safety in the workshop will also be covered.
Entry Requirements
An interest in industry or amateur garment construction, sampling or pattern cutting.
How you will be assessed
There is no formal assessment only continuous review throughout the course. You will be set personal targets with your tutor.
