What You'll Learn
During this course you will learn all key aspects of working in business and travel and how to deal with enquiries and requests, communicating customer problems with others, handling customer telephone calls and effective communication.
We will also provide a range of practical assignments throughout the year to give important hands-on experience, as well as a tutorial system to assist with managing workloads and planning.
Although there are no formal entry requirements, we require a good reference from your last place of work or study and expect a reasonable level of literacy and an ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
How you will be assessed
Assessment will take place through a range of methods including report writing, leaflets, PowerPoint presentations, role-plays and displays.

There will be an additional cost of £70 for trips which will contribute to your studies.

Course and Career progression
Upon completing and passing the course with 95% attendance, you can progress onto level 1 City and Guilds customer service or business course. This builds on the foundational skills and knowledge gained in this course and allow for further opportunities in a variety of jobs within this industry.
This course provides knowledge and expertise for careers across a wide range of industries including business, retail, administration and private and public services.
What Happens Next
Apply online via the College website, or if your school uses the Positive Steps @16 (PS16) application system please apply through this and speak to your careers advisor if you are unsure.
You will need details of your qualifications, a reference, and a personal statement to complete your application. Once your application has been successfully processed, you will be sent a conditional offer and be invited to a welcome event at the college to meet your tutors, learn more about your chosen course of study and tour the facilities. You will then need to confirm your acceptance of the course offered to you.
