Course Overview
Our part-time evening course is designed to be delivered online remotely using Microsoft teams and is specifically for anyone who has an interest in working as a member of Cabin Crew in the travel sector. Studying this level 2 course will help you prepare for a career within the industry. You will be taught information that is required for this role and will learn through both practical and theory lessons. As part of this course, you will also take part in a mandatory practical training day at a British Airways training centre for Safety Equipment and Procedures information.
What You'll Learn
Year 1
You will learn the roles and responsibilities of cabin crew including key terminology, how to manage health, safety and security in aviation, how to respond to planned and unplanned emergencies on-board an aircraft and the skills that are required to sell products and services to passengers. You will also be trained and assessed in making passenger announcements on board an aircraft.
Whilst completing this qualification you will also further develop the knowledge, understanding and essential skills that employers look for in employees, for example, appropriate interpersonal skills and understanding of work practices.
Entry Requirements
This course is aimed at 19+ adults who already hold a full level 2 qualification. You will need a genuine interest in cabin crew and/or an interest in travel and tourism in order to get the most from your course.
How you will be assessed
Assessment will take place through presentations, role plays, demonstrations, controlled assessments and through observations on the cabin crew training day.

There is an additional cost of £100 payable on enrolment for the British Airways training day.

Course and Career progression
Upon successful completion of this qualification, you will have gained the relevant knowledge and understanding to enable you to apply for jobs within the aviation industry as a cabin crew member of staff. Alternatively, you may wish to continue your studies at college on a full-time programme such as level 3 City and Guilds diploma in Travel Tourism.
What Happens Next
Apply online via the College website. You will be contacted to attend an interview if required, or you will be sent a conditional offer according to the entry requirements for the course. You will then be invited in to enrol for your chosen course of study.
