What You'll Learn
Year 1
Intermediate BIM Course: Practical BIM Skills
• Create complex 3D models and utilise parametric design principles.
• Understand and apply BIM standards, including ISO 19650, to ensure compliance and best practices.
• Use BIM tools for clash detection and resolution, improving the accuracy and efficiency of projects.
• Manage and organise data within BIM models to maintain consistency and reliability.
• Apply practical BIM skills to a small project, demonstrating an integrated approach to modelling and management.
Entry Requirements
Completion of the Basic BIM Course or equivalent experience is required.
How you will be assessed
Assessment will include practical tasks, adherence to BIM standards, and a small project showcasing the student’s ability to apply their skills.
Course Fees
Course and Career progression
Successful students can move on to the Advanced BIM Course. This course prepares them towards industry roles such as BIM Coordinator or BIM Specialist.
The college also provides further full time routes into construction courses including Higher National Certificate (HNC), Higher National Diploma (HND) AND BSc top-up degree in Construction Management.
